Job Title: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description: As an Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and efficient care to patients in emergency situations. You will work alongside a dynamic team of healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and stabilize patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Conduct initial patient assessments and triage patients based on acuity levels
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in status promptly
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and aftercare instructions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities to enhance clinical practice and knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in the province of Ontario
  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience working as an ER RN in a hospital setting
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
