Camp Nominingue is an English summer camp for boys located in Lac-Nominingue, QC. Situated in Québec’s Laurentian Mountains, the camp offers a 400-acre space with forests, playing fields, and a beautiful northern lake. Campers aged seven to 16 participate in a variety of outdoor activities, games, skills development, and learning experiences that promote personal growth, self-confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. With a focus on respect for oneself, others, and nature, Camp Nominingue aims to provide a true outdoor camping experience.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Nurse at Camp Nominingue. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services and first aid to campers and staff. Day-to-day tasks may include administering medications, treating minor injuries and illnesses, managing health records, coordinating with healthcare providers, and promoting a safe and healthy environment for all campers and staff. Will manage two first aid attendants.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in the province of Quebec
- Experience in providing healthcare services and first aid
- Knowledge of common childhood illnesses and injuries
- Ability to assess and respond to healthcare emergencies
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Ability to enter patient records on a computer
- Confidential and professional
- Current certifications in CPR and First Aid
- Fluency in English (French language skills are a plus)
